Are you looking to build a long-term career in private equity? Do you want to work alongside experienced investors on complex transactions, active portfolio ownership, and value creation initiatives across a global investment platform?

Novo Holdings is seeking an Associate to join the Planetary Health Investments’ Buyout team in Copenhagen. The team invests in market-leading businesses that contribute to a more sustainable and resource-efficient future. As an Associate, you will play a central role across the full investment lifecycle - from sourcing and evaluating opportunities, through transaction execution and due diligence, to active ownership and portfolio value creation.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing international investment team and gain significant responsibility from day one. You will work closely with senior investment professionals, management teams, advisors, and portfolio company boards, developing a top-tier private equity skillset while helping grow leading businesses within the planetary health ecosystem.

The job

As an Associate, you will participate in all stages of the investment process, from origination and transaction execution to portfolio management and value creation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and reviewing complex financial models, valuation analyses, and investment returns assessments
  • Conducting commercial, strategic, and financial analyses of potential investment opportunities
  • Managing and coordinating due diligence workstreams, including commercial, financial, legal, and others
  • Preparing investment committee materials and supporting decision-making processes
  • Monitoring portfolio company performance and supporting the development and execution of value creation initiatives
  • Contributing to board preparation, strategic projects, and active ownership activities across portfolio companies
  • Supporting growth equity and scaling opportunities investment processes through collaboration with the Planetary Health Investments’ Green Tech Scaling team

Given the lean and entrepreneurial nature of the team, Associates are expected to take ownership of workstreams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and contribute meaningfully to both new investments and portfolio company development.

The role is based in Copenhagen, hence relocation is not offered for this role.
