The role
North Ventures is hiring a Principal to identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities in technology companies across sectors and stages, and to build strong relationships with founders.
From first investment to exit, the Principal will work alongside founders, providing strategic boardroom guidance and hands-on support for everyday challenges. The role is expected to lead investments and take responsibility for outcomes in collaboration with the team.
Responsibilities
- Originate differentiated investment opportunities by growing and leveraging a network of founders, VCs, and industry experts.
- Develop investment conviction through rigorous commercial and technological analysis and strong character judgment.
- Lead negotiations and transactions from term sheet to closing.
- Foster growth and long-term value creation in portfolio companies through strategic guidance and hands-on support.
- Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and community engagement across funds and portfolio companies.
About you
- 5+ years of experience from venture capital, private equity, or a similarly demanding environment.
- Affinity for emerging technologies.
- Ability to build and nurture strong relationships.
- Demonstrated transaction experience and track record leading or co-leading investments in founder-led companies.
