Employment typeFull-time

We are a private investment company focussed on opportunities empowered by technology. Our focus is on backing mission driven leaders, who are building for a long term horizon and benefit from breakthrough technologies or online platforms, community and network effects.

Today, our investments span multiple strategies and are guided by The Code Age: our belief that rapid AI adoption, agentic systems, proprietary data, and the growing importance of deep human experiences are transforming industries. We believe enduring companies will be built by founders who can harness these forces.

The role: Venture Analyst

An opportunity is available to join our early-stage investment team and support our venture style investments. This is a full-time role where you will help us source, evaluate and analyse new opportunities. You’ll be a good fit if you are curious about technology, enjoy structured problem-solving and want to learn in a small, collaborative and high-performance team.

Your initial responsibilities will include:

  • Research and analyse markets, industries and emerging trends

  • Identify potential investment opportunities and founding teams that align with our thesis

  • Work closely with the team to source and review companies

  • Engage with founders and other stakeholders at all stages of the investment lifecycle

  • Manage updates to the investment pipeline and deal flow in our systems

  • Contribute to investment proposals, presentations and internal discussions

Over time, there will be the potential to increase responsibility as you gain experience.

Who are we looking for?

Must have

  • Sydney-based, with Australian working rights

  • A university degree in finance, business, science or engineering

  • 1-3 years of experience in an analytical or fast-paced environment (consulting, banking, engineering, product, operations, data or similar). Venture experience not required. If you think you might be slightly more junior or more experienced than described, we still encourage you to apply.

  • Demonstrated interest in startups, technology trends and innovation

  • Strong interpersonal and digital communication skills

  • High ownership and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise

  • Team player, eager to contribute, learn and grow

Nice to have

  • Foundational understanding of digital business models

  • Comfort with Google Workspace, Notion and Generative AI tools

  • Financial modelling basics; SQL or Python basics

  • Familiarity with tools like PitchBook, Crunchbase, CapIQ and other databases

What you can expect from us

  • A market salary based on experience with potential for upside tied to performance

  • Flexible hours and working arrangements

  • Open and transparent communication with the team

  • Opportunities to build your network and connections in the industry

  • Close mentorship from principals with decades of venture investing experience

  • Strong potential for personal growth to continue building your career
