Investment Principal

The Role

We are seeking an Investment Principal to work on deal execution end-to-end across the full investment lifecycle. In this seat, you will support transactions— and drive deal pipeline, lead comprehensive diligence, write investment memos with conviction for UXV, UAV, Robotic, Supply Chain space

Silicon Valley or Austin local candidate only.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Ownership

• Pipeline Management: Own end-to-end execution for a designated portfolio of active growth-stage hardware deals across Long100's five core verticals.
• Proactive Sourcing: Identify and screen high-caliber opportunities via your founder network, co-investor referrals, and proprietary outbound strategies.
• Ecosystem Leadership: Represent Long100 at key industry summits, conferences

2. Diligence & Investment Analysis

• Deep Research and Evaluation: research technical, financial, sales, and competitors
• Comprehensive Diligence: financial, technical, commercial, cap table, and supply-chain due diligence end-to-end.
• Financial Modeling: Build detailed financial models, perform valuation analyses, and author formal Investment Memos for IC review.
• Agentic AI Workflow Integration: Leverage hands-on agentic AI tools and platforms to automate deal evaluation workflows, increase throughput, and accelerate screening accuracy.

Qualifications Location & Venture Experience (Required)

2–5 years of relevant professional experience. Silicon Valley or Austin VC Experience: Prior working experience as principle or associate within the Silicon Valley or Austin venture capital and startup ecosystems is required.

Track Record & Network

• Investment History: Demonstrable track record of sourcing, evaluating, and leading hardware, deep-tech, or physical AI investments in VC or growth equity. Founder backgrounds in hard tech are welcome.
• Industry Network: Strong existing relationships across robotics, autonomous systems, SpaceTech, semiconductor equipment, supply chain, or aerospace founder/investor communities.

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Domain Knowledge: Deep familiarity with UXV, SpaceTech, robotics, autonomous systems, supply chain, or advanced manufacturing.
• Agentic AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience applying agentic AI tools to automate workflows and accelerate analytical throughput.

Education & General Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required. An MBA or technical graduate degree is a plus, but not required.
• Mindset: Highly comfortable operating in a lean, high-autonomy fund environment with low structure and high accountability.
• Citizenship: US Citizenship is required.
