Venture Programs & Operations Apprentice/Fellow (Consumer Goods Venture)

You'll work with an exceptional founder to help operationalize a consumer venture from nothing. The role focuses on foundational operational tasks — creating initial cost models, contracts, and shipments rather than optimizing existing systems.
What Liminal Is
Liminal operates as a Founders' Studio, collaborating with experienced founders to provide expertise, capital, and resources from founding through Series B. This specific role sits within a new consumer health and wellness venture.
What This Role Actually Is
Most people like startup ideas. Very few people like operational reality. This role is for the second type. Candidates should instinctively consider margin profiles, tooling lead times, freight cost fluctuations, operational bottlenecks, supplier reliability, and scalability challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and supply chain coordination with suppliers and factories
- Financial and cost analysis including costing models and pricing analyses
- Execution management tracking deadlines and deliverables
- Vendor and factory communication (Mandarin capability strongly advantageous)
- Contracts and operational documentation support
- Founder collaboration ensuring operational momentum
Ideal Candidate Profile
Operationally sharp thinkers with pathological attention to detail who notice inconsistencies, numerically comfortable with spreadsheets, calm under pressure, strong work ethic, comfortable with ambiguity, and independent critical thinkers.
Duration
Twelve months with a meaningful stipend, providing real operational exposure during the earliest stages of venture creation.
