Invivo Partners
Barcelona-based venture capital firm backing early-stage European life sciences, biotech and AI-driven deeptech, with initial tickets of €2-4m and follow-on funding up to €10m.
Invivo Partners is a venture capital firm based in Barcelona that invests at pre-seed, seed and selected Series A in European life sciences, biotechnology and deeptech companies, with a particular focus on Spain. Initial commitments range from €2m to €4m, with follow-on funding of up to €10m per company conditional on milestones being met - a structure that reserves capital for portfolio companies as they progress rather than committing it upfront.
The firm's stated technical remit spans synthetic biology, advanced therapies, innovative drug development, technology transfer and artificial intelligence applied to scientific problems. It targets what it describes as real-world challenges, healthcare chief among them. The investment team combines scientific, technical and financial expertise, and draws on experience in technology transfer to help portfolio companies build and grow. It is led by three named partners: Luis Pareras, Albert Ferrer and Laura Rodríguez.
Portfolio construction to date comprises 17 companies and four exits. Those companies have raised more than €450m in aggregate from global venture investors, indicating that Invivo Partners' early-stage positions have typically been syndicated with larger international funds at later stages. Geographic activity is concentrated in Spain and the wider European market.
