Senior Analyst, Valuations

This role will be a key member of the group reporting directly to the Senior Valuations Manager, while working closely with the Private Equity, Real Estate, and Investment Management teams to evaluate, analyze, and summarize valuation and performance results for ICONIQ’s direct investment portfolio on a regular basis.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop subject matter expertise in all things valuation, including industry and investment specific valuation methodologies and reporting requirements.

  • Specialization in equity, debt, real estate, and complex securities valuation.

  • Own the beginning to end process for preparation of valuation memos for private equity fund investments and SPVs in accordance with valuation policy and ASC 820.

  • Work with third party appraisers to obtain real estate property appraisals and perform fund level valuations.

  • Manage iLevel data collection platform and analytics software tool.

  • Prepare summary exhibits and assist with the quarterly valuation committee meetings to discuss proposed valuations and garner approval.

  • Support the finance and investment teams with special projects including preparing materials for meetings and providing ad-hoc reporting with respect to company valuations and fund/investment performance metrics.

  • Assist with back-testing and maintenance of valuation policy / procedures / governance.

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting (valuations specialist / transaction services), valuations consulting, or related work experience at a PE/VC firm.

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in finance / accounting / economics / business.

  • Working knowledge of Capital IQ / Factset / Bloomberg.

  • CFA / ASA / CPA / CEIV is a plus.

  • Experience with real estate / debt / complex security valuation is a plus.

  • Technology / Real estate sector knowledge is a plus.

Location: Applicants are expected to work onsite in our New York office in accordance with our hybrid working policy.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $120,000 - $130,000 together with the benefits listed above.
