The Associate, Data Engineer will join the Data & Analytics function within our Technology division, supporting our Venture and Growth businesses by designing and building scalable data infrastructure within Snowflake that powers sourcing, portfolio insights, performance tracking, artificial intelligence enablement, and advanced analytics across the platform. You will partner closely with investment professionals, Growth stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver governed, high-quality, and reliable data systems that drive strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain efficient, cost-aware data models and data pipelines.
- Build and manage workflows that ingest, transform, and consolidate internal and third-party data into Snowflake.
- Lead data governance efforts, including data standards, ownership frameworks, lineage tracking, access controls, and data quality practices.
- Oversee data quality monitoring, validation, reconciliation, and remediation across structured and unstructured datasets.
- Design pipelines to process documents and other unstructured content for analytics and artificial intelligence use cases, including an internal knowledge base.
- Partner closely with investment, Growth, finance, and operations teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, including warehouse sizing, workload management, query tuning, and cost governance best practices.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong hands-on experience building scalable data infrastructure in Snowflake.
- Advanced skills in Structured Query Language, with a deep understanding of performance optimization and data modeling best practices.
- Strong Python experience for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
- Experience building and maintaining cloud-based data workflows and orchestration systems.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and enterprise data quality standards.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including third-party data sources.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000-$150,000 together with the benefits listed above.
