iBionext

iBionext is a Paris-based venture studio and investment firm that both creates and finances companies working on disruptive healthcare innovations and deep-tech solutions. Its operating model, described as the Spot, Boost and Grow approach, spans the full company-building arc: selecting projects and forming companies, providing operational support and financing, and making later-stage growth investments. The firm draws on scientific and academic networks to identify promising technologies, and supports founders as projects are converted into companies.

Investment activity is organised around the iBionext Growth Fund, a growth-stage vehicle backing innovative technology companies in the portfolio. By the end of 2023 the fund counted six portfolio companies, which had collectively raised more than €200 million and created over 200 skilled jobs. Sector focus covers biotechnology, medical technologies, digital health, and deep tech, including bio-inspired industrial technologies and energy-efficient intelligent technologies.

The firm operates from Paris with a European footprint, and works through an ecosystem model that brings portfolio companies together with specialists in science, finance, law, human resources and entrepreneurship.
