Hive Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Taipei, Taiwan, investing in teams building technologies for what it describes as a smart, hyperconnected world. Its investment focus is concentrated on data, artificial intelligence and enterprise software, with blockchain listed among its portfolio areas. Through its funds, the firm connects Taiwan with other markets, including Southeast Asia, and typically acts as the first institutional investor in the companies it backs.
