With the launch of Fund I and the development of a multi-continent infrastructure pipeline, Fortuna Future Ventures is engineering a capital stack that integrates venture capital, private equity, private credit, and long-term project finance.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of Capital Markets to lead global fundraising, capital formation, and institutional investor partnerships across Fortuna Future Ventures and Fortuna Future Infrastructure. This executive will architect and execute the firm's capital-raising strategy across Fund I, future funds, and large-scale SPVs spanning energy, industrial cities, data centers, housing, healthcare, and digital infrastructure.
The Head of Capital Markets will serve as the firm's senior ambassador to global LPs — including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, endowments, family offices, insurance companies, and strategic partners.
📍 Palm Beach, Florida (Initially Remote, Onsite 5 days/week post-Fund I close).
Key Responsibilities
Capital Formation & Fundraising
- Lead global fundraising for Fund I, Fund II, and all future vehicles
- Build and manage relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pensions, endowments, family offices, and institutional allocators
- Develop and execute a multi-channel capital formation strategy across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia
- Drive anchor LP commitments and structure co-investment programs for large-scale SPVs
Capital Markets Strategy
- Architect capital stacks for multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects, including equity, private credit, tax equity, project finance, and strategic partnerships
- Structure financing solutions for energy, industrial, digital, and real-asset developments
- Partner with the CIO and CEO to align capital strategy with investment deployment and portfolio growth
Investor Relations & Institutional Partnerships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional LPs
- Lead investor presentations, roadshows, diligence processes, and data room management
- Build long-term strategic partnerships with global banks, placement agents, advisors, and capital providers
Governance, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all fundraising activities meet SEC, FCA, ESMA, and global regulatory standards
- Oversee LP reporting, quarterly letters, performance updates, and institutional-grade disclosures
- Maintain rigorous compliance, fiduciary discipline, and governance frameworks
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with investment, operations, legal, finance, and technology teams
- Support portfolio companies and SPVs in securing growth capital, credit facilities, and strategic financing
- Contribute to firmwide strategy, capital planning, and long-term growth initiatives
Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in capital markets, fundraising, investment banking, private equity, private credit, or infrastructure finance
- Proven track record raising capital from institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and global allocators
- Deep expertise in fund structures, project finance, private credit, and multi-layered capital stacks
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, energy, digital assets, and real-asset financing
- Experience managing multi-billion-dollar capital formation processes
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Standards & Certifications
- CFA or CAIA strongly preferred
- FINRA Series 7 & 63/65/66 (or international equivalents)
- MBA or advanced degree in finance, economics, or related field from a top-tier institution
- Demonstrated adherence to global fiduciary and regulatory standards
