Fertile Soil Ventures is building Europe’s first pre-seed platform dedicated to newcomer tech — startups building solutions for people whose needs arise from moving across borders.
We operate at the intersection of:
early-stage venture investing
hands-on founder support
community and ecosystem orchestration
We’re building a thesis-driven venture platform, and we’re looking for a Founder’s Associate to act as an extension of the GP and help make it real.
If you want a front-row seat to how early-stage funds, founder ecosystems, and conviction-led investing are actually built, this role is designed for you.
The Role
As Founder’s Associate, you’ll be an extension of the GP. Your mission is to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across founders, investors, and the FSV community — while providing the analytical backbone that keeps the thesis, reporting, and ecosystem credible.
You’ll work across operations, research, community, and investor support. One day you’ll be coordinating a community event; the next you’ll be synthesising founder progress into a crisp memo.
This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role. You’ll see everything.
What You’ll Do
1) Founder support & co-building ops
Support founder programming and feedback loops
Track deliverables, progress, and documentation
Drive follow-ups so founders experience clarity and momentum
2) Community & ecosystem management
Maintain community channels and newsletters
Coordinate with partner organisations and programmes
Keep the ecosystem warm, responsive, and well-run
3) Events
Support speaker recruitment and briefing
Shape the event spine, vibe, and flow
Handle post-event synthesis and debriefs
4) Investor communications support
Draft updates, key facts, and digests for GP review
Translate activity into clear, credible reporting
Support the cadence of professional investor communications
5) Portfolio & market research
Produce short, high-quality insight memos
Track portfolio signals and emerging themes
Research newcomer-tech frontiers (work, health, housing, etc.)
Who You Are
You likely:
Thrive in ambiguity and early-stage environments
Are organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
Can write clearly, think analytically, and execute fast
Enjoy moving between strategy and detail
Must-Have Skills
Strong project and task management (you don’t drop plates)

Nice-to-Haves
Exposure to startups, venture, accelerators, or funds

A front-row seat to building a pre-seed venture platform
