Drive Capital is a venture capital firm focused on backing the next generation of category-defining technology companies across North America. Founded in 2013, we’ve invested in more than 150 startups across the U.S. and Canada, including Duolingo, Root Insurance, ApplyBoard, VAST Data, and Thoughtful AI. Today, we manage over $2.2B in assets.
Our team includes former founders, operators, and investors united by a shared belief: exceptional companies can be built anywhere. Drive has helped shape the technology ecosystem between the coasts – and our Chicago office plays an important role in that mission.
The Chicago office serves as a hub for our local portfolio companies and the broader startup community. We host regular meetups, founder gatherings, and investor events, and take pride in creating a welcoming, high-quality environment that reflects Drive’s position as a leading venture firm outside Silicon Valley.
