Investment Principal

We are looking for an Investment Principal to take senior ownership across the full investment lifecycle, from originating opportunities and building investment conviction to leading transactions, supporting portfolio companies and helping shape DOMiNO Ventures’ investment strategy.

Responsibilities

• Originate proprietary, high-quality deal flow across AI, Deeptech, Cleantech, Healthtech, Fintech, Cybersecurity and Life Sciences, building a differentiated pipeline of first-day global founders with roots in Central Asia, the Caucasus and Turkiye.
• Lead transactions end to end as deal owner, from the first founder meeting and investment thesis through Investment Committee approval, valuation, term sheet negotiation, legal documentation and closing.
• Run rigorous commercial, financial, technical and legal due diligence, overseeing market sizing, customer and reference calls, financial and scenario modelling, cap table analysis and the work of external advisers.
• Develop proactive, research-led investment theses on emerging technologies and markets, turning primary insights into clear areas of conviction that shape where and how DOMiNO Ventures deploys capital.
• Author investment memorandums and present recommendations to the Investment Committee, setting out the investment case, key risks, valuation rationale and return potential with clarity and independent judgment.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with founders, co-investors, follow-on funds, corporates and ecosystem partners, expanding DOMiNO Ventures’ access to top-tier deals and syndicates across our global office network.
• Take primary responsibility for selected portfolio relationships, monitor performance and risks, participate in board or observer meetings and support founders on strategic priorities.
• Contribute to portfolio construction and fund strategy, and represent DOMiNO Ventures as a visible voice across the global venture and technology ecosystem.
• Support fundraising for current and future funds, sourcing and engaging prospective Limited Partners (LPs), including family offices, corporates, institutional investors and funds of funds, and helping to manage LP relations through investor updates, quarterly reporting, LP meetings and due diligence requests.
• Play an active role in managing the firm, overseeing investment processes, pipeline and portfolio tracking, fund operations and coordination across DOMiNO Ventures’ international offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, economics, business administration, finance or another relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity or growth investing, with a track record of leading or co-leading investments in technology companies.
• A demonstrated ability to source, evaluate and execute investments, ideally in early-stage or growth-stage technology companies.
• Strong investment judgment and the ability to form an independent view on founders, markets, technology, risk and return potential.
• Strong command of due diligence, valuation, cap table analysis, scenario modelling, transaction structuring and venture financing terms.
• Ability to produce compelling investment memorandums and defend recommendations in rigorous Investment Committee discussions.
• Experience working closely with founders and senior teams, with the credibility to support companies at board or observer level.
• An established network among founders, investors and technology leaders, with the ability to build trusted cross-border relationships.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must. Additional languages relevant to DOMiNO Ventures’ markets are an advantage.
• High ownership, integrity and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, mentor others and operate effectively in an international environment.
