Döhler Ventures

Döhler Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Döhler, a global producer of natural ingredients for the food and beverage industry. Based in Germany, the firm invests at the early stage in companies developing nutrition and technology solutions across the food, beverage and food-tech ecosystem. Its stated areas of interest include plant-based ingredient innovation, food and beverage technology, health and nutrition, natural ingredients, and digital commerce and online platforms.

The firm deploys both equity and debt investment into early-stage companies in the food, beverage and food-tech space, and describes itself as a long-term-oriented, entrepreneurial investor. Döhler Ventures has made more than 95 investments to date. Selected portfolio companies include Ahead, All G Foods, Bizzy Cold Brew, Bower Collective, BrauFässchen, Brave, Chromologics and Clean Food Group, spanning categories from cold brew coffee and plant-based foods to fermentation-derived colourants and reusable packaging.

As a corporate venture unit, the firm operates alongside a parent group with global reach through Döhler's ingredient business, giving portfolio companies potential access to industrial-scale ingredient expertise in addition to capital. Geographic presence is anchored in Germany at headquarters, with a global footprint via the parent company. Target sectors for investment include food, beverage, food-tech, nutrition, health, plant-based foods and digital commerce.
