We are actively investing out of Fund I, with over $21M committed and four lead investments already closed.
Role Description
This is a unique opportunity to be an early founding investor of a venture capital fund with the ability to earn the right to become a Partner for Fund II. This is a full-time, on-site role at Dogwood Ventures based in Atlanta, GA. The Investor will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, conducting market research and due diligence, and developing relationships founders, investors and limited partners. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and support portfolio companies, including as a Board member, supporting fundraising for Fund I, and building the firm's internal capabilities to source, select and support our portfolio companies.
Qualifications
Early employee or founder of a B2B technology startup. Failed startups are welcome!
Prior experience in venture capital, private equity, or investment banking is highly advantageous
Thrives in ambiguous environments and enjoys creating and problem solving every day
Demonstrates a high-degree of agency, autonomy and integrity
Comfortable digging into data, reviewing financials, and sizing up markets, business models and founders
Enjoys relationship based selling and has a proven track record of selling ideas and/or products to others
Actively invests in startups and/or technology companies and enjoys researching technology trends
Ideally has a history of producing high quality content for external audiences (e.g., blogs, articles, podcasts)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
