Dhahran Techno Valley is a Saudi Arabian innovation hub focused on energy, sustainability, and deep-tech. Its stated mission is connecting research talent with startup programs and early-stage funding to commercialize proof-of-concepts into scalable ventures. The ecosystem operates in partnership with King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) and includes national champions Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and SEC.
The hub runs several structured programs for founders and researchers, including the Deep-Tech Ventures Program and Visionary Program, which provide funding, mentorship, and facilities to advance early-stage companies. It also operates the Dream Realization Lab, a facility for accelerating prototyping and commercialization. Dhahran Techno Valley reports a network of 1,750+ professionals, over 520 patents, and nearly 1,000 technology transfers to date, producing more than 400 peer-reviewed publications annually.
As part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 economic diversification strategy, Dhahran Techno Valley is positioned at the intersection of research commercialization and venture creation within the Kingdom's energy and industrial sectors.
