DFF Ventures

Early-stage venture capital fund founded in 2018, investing €250k–€3m at pre-seed and seed in companies digitising underdigitised industries across Europe, the UK and MENA.

DFF Ventures, formerly Dutch Founders Fund, is an early-stage venture capital fund founded in 2018. It invests at pre-seed and seed, typically leading or co-leading rounds, with tickets ranging from €250,000 to €3 million. The fund's strategy is narrow by design: it backs companies digitising underdigitised industries - businesses applying software to analogue workflows in sectors where adoption remains early.

Investment themes span marketplaces, vertical SaaS, technology-enabled services, marketplace-enabling software, vertical AI and recommerce. Portfolio patterns across its target verticals - among them recycling, timber, automotive, shipping, logistics and second-hand trade - reflect a consistent thesis around efficiency gains in traditional, non-digital industries. The fund describes a preference for founders with deep sector experience and evidence of early commercial validation.

Alongside capital, DFF Ventures provides hands-on operational support to portfolio companies, focused on team building, customer acquisition and scaling distribution. The team draws on experience building companies including WeTransfer, Just Eat, Hiber, Treatwell and fonQ. Its geographic presence covers Europe - including the Netherlands and the United Kingdom - and the MENA region.
