About Co Ventures
Co Ventures is Australia's first dedicated pre-seed fund. We back Australian founders building globally ambitious companies and propel them onto the global stage with unmatched support, network, and resources. Our platform — the support we provide beyond capital — is our key differentiator. We're building something that doesn't exist yet in Australia, and the brand is a massive part of how we do it.
We're looking for a Brand & Communications Lead to own the output of Co Ventures' brand machine on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week).
The Role
You'll own the strategy and execution of Co Ventures' content and communications. The brand positioning is set — but how we bring it to life is where you come in. You'll be a key strategic input into what we publish, why, and for whom, while also being the person who makes it happen. You'll also take ownership of growing First Cheque — our podcast on early stage investing — as a strategic sourcing funnel for founders, angel investors, and LPs.
What you'll do:
Shape and execute Co Ventures' content strategy across social, newsletter, thesis essays, and LP communications
Drive growth for First Cheque as a sourcing engine for deal flow, angels, and LP pipeline
Draft and produce Maxine Minter's public content — thought pieces, social posts, speaking briefs, podcast prep
Own LP and syndicate investor communications — quarterly updates, fund close announcements, portfolio spotlights
Manage the Early Belief video series and other founder storytelling projects
Build Maxine's LinkedIn presence into one of the top voices in Australian VC
Secure and prep Maxine for 4+ external podcasts/panels per year
Build AI-powered content workflows that maximise your output in 2–3 days/week
Coordinate with freelancers, designers, and video producers as needed
Ensure everything that goes out looks, sounds, and feels unmistakably like Co Ventures
What you'll ship in the first 6 months:
A content calendar that doesn't miss a beat
2+ thesis essays that position Co Ventures' investment thinking
A growth plan for First Cheque with clear sourcing metrics
LP communications that make our investors feel informed, excited, and confident
AI systems that handle the repeatable parts of content production
A speaking and podcast pipeline that has Maxine in front of the right audiences
About You
You've run content operations, brand, or communications before — this isn't your first rodeo
You write exceptionally well across different formats and audiences (founders, LPs, ecosystem)
You understand the tech and venture ecosystem — you know the players, the language, and what matters
You think strategically about content, not just tactically — you have opinions about what to publish and why
You're AI-native — you use AI tools daily and think about how to automate the boring parts
You're self-directed and reliable — you ship consistently without needing daily check-ins
You care about brand craft — the details matter to you and it shows
Part-time is a feature, not a compromise — you do your best work with focus and flexibility
