Climate Collective

Climate Collective is a startup support organisation focused on climate technology in South Asia and the wider Global South. Founded in 2016 and staffed by a team of more than 50, it describes itself as the largest private climate tech startup support organisation in the region. Its activities centre on early-stage companies: acceleration programmes, funding platforms that connect startups with investors, educational courses and community initiatives. Scale figures indicate a substantial deal flow channel. The organisation has evaluated more than 3,000 startup applications and supported 1,532-plus companies, with over 200 startups onboarded each year. Portfolio companies have raised USD 683 million with the participation of 592 investors, making the organisation a notable sourcing and diligence node for capital allocators covering climate and cleantech in South Asia. Sector coverage spans renewable energy - solar and wind power - along with cleantech and sustainability more broadly. Geographic focus is South Asia and the Global South, a market where early-stage climate ventures have historically faced thinner local capital and ecosystem infrastructure. The organisation was founded by pioneers in cleantech solar and wind power who are former entrepreneurs themselves. Its stated emphasis is on ecosystem collaboration, partnerships and knowledge sharing, supported by a community of more than 30,000 members.
