Caucasus Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm focused on backing high-potential technology startups across the Caucasus, Central Asia, Türkiye, and selected Central and Eastern European markets.

We invest in ambitious founders building scalable, globally relevant companies, typically at pre-seed and seed stages. Beyond capital, we actively support our portfolio through strategic guidance, international market access, follow-on fundraising, and ecosystem building.

Caucasus Ventures plays a hands-on role in developing the regional startup ecosystem by working closely with founders, co-investors, accelerators, and the global tech diaspora. Our portfolio spans multiple sectors including SaaS, AI, fintech, marketplaces, climate tech, and enterprise software.

Role: Venture Capital Analyst

Overview

We are looking for a driven and analytical Venture Capital Analyst to join our investment team. This role offers direct exposure to the full venture capital investment cycle and close collaboration with partners and founders. It is a demanding role with a steep learning curve and significant responsibility from day one.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in venture capital or startups and is comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Market Research

  • Identify and evaluate early-stage startups across target geographies and sectors

  • Conduct market, industry, and competitive research

  • Track emerging trends, technologies, and founders

Investment Analysis & Due Diligence

  • Support financial modeling, valuation analysis, and investment memos

  • Analyze business models, unit economics, and growth drivers

  • Assist with commercial, technical, and founder diligence

Portfolio Support

  • Work with portfolio companies on research, fundraising preparation, and strategic initiatives

  • Monitor portfolio performance and key metrics

  • Help prepare internal updates and LP reporting materials

Ecosystem & Fund Operations

  • Assist with investor communications and presentations

  • Participate in startup events, demo days, and ecosystem initiatives

  • Support internal processes and knowledge management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or a related field

  • Strong analytical and financial reasoning skills

  • Solid understanding of startups, venture capital, and technology markets

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently

  • Curiosity, ownership mindset, and strong work ethic

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in startups, consulting, investment, or accelerators

  • Familiarity with financial modeling and pitch deck analysis

  • Regional knowledge of Caucasus, Central Asia, or CEE ecosystems
