CAS Innovations is a joint-stock company established by the Czech Academy of Sciences, operating from the Czech Republic. Its mandate is to bridge deep tech and life sciences research with the commercial market through structured venture incubation and investment, with the explicit goal of creating spin-off companies. The organisation maintains an active project pipeline of over 120 projects drawn from the Academy's research base.
The company's core programme provides a structured framework for transforming scientific discoveries into competitive ventures, establishing transparent procedures for founding technology companies and clear rules for external capital participation. It targets the creation of 8–10 spin-offs annually. This activity sits within the broader national effort to enhance Czech innovation performance, with stated ambitions to nurture globally competitive technology companies.
CAS Innovations focuses on two technical domains: deep tech and life sciences. Its operational model combines incubation and investment functions, positioning it at the intersection of technology transfer and venture creation within the Czech Republic's research ecosystem.
