BRAVE Venture Capital is a Polish group of investment funds backing early-stage ventures with global ambitions. Its activity spans four principal domains: internet; IoT and hardware; renewable energy; and life sciences, the latter encompassing MedTech and BioTech. Capital is deployed at seed stage, with a stated investment horizon of four to 14 years.
The firm operates through two lines of funds. The BRAVE Seed Fund provides early-stage capital to innovative projects and to efforts to commercialise research - a focus on converting R&D results into market-facing companies. Alongside it, BRAVE manages regional capital funds established with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, Poland's state development bank, and private investors.
BRAVE works with founders and scientists on company development, with an emphasis on value creation and preparation for follow-on investment or exit. The team's stated experience covers seed investing, company building and follow-on financing. Geographic presence is anchored in Poland; portfolio companies are selected on the basis of their capacity to compete internationally.
