Different from our venture fund, where we invest in external startups, the venture studios model is an in-house team of entrepreneurs looking to create disruption in markets by finding problems and launching rapid-growth business to solve them. We pair teams of two founders and give them a hybrid mix of resources, capital, strategic direction and know-how to guide them in how to build a startup.
As a corporate venture fund our main focus is innovation. The venture studio model is a unique opportunity for us to give back to WA and create a collaborative environment for entrepreneurs who want to build an incredible business. It combines the hunger of entrepreneurship with the support of a large corporation that is incredibly difficult to achieve.
