The role
Lead BerkeleyHaas Ventures as Managing Director — responsible for fundraising, investment strategy and execution, portfolio construction, and building the operating infrastructure of a new institutional seed fund tied to the Haas/Berkeley ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Raise and close the fund with alumni and institutional LPs
- Set and execute the investment thesis; source, diligence, and lead seed/early-stage investments
- Build processes for IC, portfolio support, and student/alumni engagement
- Represent the fund within the Berkeley entrepreneurship ecosystem
Ideal candidates are experienced venture capitalists with seed/early-stage investing track records and comfort operating in a university-affiliated shared-carry structure.
