Benson Capital Partners

About

Benson Capital Partners (“BCP”) is a New Orleans-based, for-profit entity founded in 2019 by Gayle M. Benson, Owner of the New Orleans Saints NFL franchise and Governor of the New Orleans Pelicans NBA franchise. In 2020, the firm launched its inaugural fund, Benson Capital Fund I, LP to make venture capital investments in the Southeast. For its second fund, BCP has launched Benson Capital Real Estate I, LP (the “Fund”) to execute real estate investments in the same Southeastern region. In aggregate, the firm manages over $100 million across its two funds.

BCP focuses its investments in the Southeastern United States, a geography lagging in institutional investment capital. However, despite few inflows of investment dollars, the region demonstrates compelling demographic and growth characteristics. BCP also benefits from the Benson organization’s unique deal access in the Southeast that has been forged from decades of business relationships across multiple industries.
