Position Intern – Venture Capital (m/f/d)
Duration 4–6 months or during studies
Start Immediately / by arrangement
Location First Zurich, Switzerland, then around Europe
Employment Full-time or Part-time
About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Venture Capital Generalist with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, sharp analytical skills, and a high degree of self-initiative. This role offers a unique opportunity to actively shape the build-out of our investment team during a pivotal growth phase.
As a generalist, you will work across all areas of the venture capital investment process – from sourcing and due diligence to collaborating with portfolio companies – and gain comprehensive insight into the strategic and operational aspects of fund management. You will take on responsibility early, work directly with the partners, and help lay the foundation for a scalable, best-in-class investment team.
What You'll Do
- Identify, evaluate, and support investment opportunities with direct influence on the fund's investment strategy
- Prepare investment decisions through rigorous analysis, due diligence, and decision memos for the Investment Committee
- Drive the fund's automation and AI agenda – from sourcing and outreach workflows to operational processes – and own the build-out of a modern, tech-enabled investment infrastructure
- Contribute to building a scalable, institutional investment operation and further developing the fund platform
- Build a best-in-class network within the European startup and venture capital ecosystem
- Actively support portfolio companies with growth initiatives, strategic challenges, and follow-on financings
Your Profile
What You Bring
- Ongoing or completed degree from a reputable university (Business, Computer Science, STEM or similar) – career changers with a relevant background are also welcome
- Genuine interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and technology – demonstrated through own projects, initiatives, or active involvement
- Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly dive into new topics
- Self-starter attitude, curiosity, and hunger – no nine-to-five mentality
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Confident with AI Tools and MS Office, Google, etc.
Bonus Points
- Prior experience at a startup, consulting firm, or financial institution
- Own entrepreneurial projects – even if they didn't work out
- Technical background or basic coding skills
What We Offer
- Real insight into VC day-to-day work – not your average internship
- Direct collaboration with investors and founders at eye level
- A steep learning curve through a broad scope of responsibilities
- Opportunity to transition into a Working Student or full time role
- Access to a strong network of founders, co-investors, and industry experts
Our approach: This internship is more than a CV bullet point. We are looking for people who genuinely want to understand how venture capital works – and who are willing to go the extra mile to get there.
