Falak Startups’ mission is to find and empower talented and ambitious seed-stage tech startup founders and help them thrive in the region’s rapidly changing entrepreneurship landscape. Our sector-agnostic offering focuses on improving startups’ product-market fit; fine-tuning their business, operating and revenue models; growing their customer base; and raising follow-on investments. We arm entrepreneurs with the necessary tools, resources, and networks to develop their strategies and scale up their businesses. Our offering entails equity investment, growth hacking, networking, mentorship, training, and a wide variety of perks and benefits. After meeting the needed KPIs, our founders are able to showcase their startups on our Virtual Stage platform, a tool for connecting with potential investors, policymakers, stakeholders, and partners. Our support is ongoing through the startups’ journey. We are a constant advisor and advocate for all our portfolio companies. Falak Startups is offering an unrivaled ticket size of up to 2,000,000 EGP and provides the support startups need to gain momentum and accelerate their growth. Falak also supports its portfolio of startups in securing follow-on investments from venture capital firms, angel investors, and/or corporates.

Teams admitted into the Incubate program at SSE Business Lab are offered an investment from SSE Ventures, the early-stage venture capital fund at the Stockholm School of Economics. The offer300.000 SEK (as a convertible note or as a direct investment in an open round with at least 50% of the round committed). Potential follow-on investments in future rounds up to Series A/B (subject to approval from the Investment Committee). Connections to the network of investors invested in the fund, for additional investments in future rounds. The valuation should be decided by other investors in an equity round, and the convertible has a cap of 50 MSEK. SSE Ventures will not be determining a valuation of your company at any point. This offer is optional upon admission to Incubate and subject to change made by the management team. Why SSE Ventures? SSE Ventures’ investment offer is available exclusively to companies admitted into the Incubate program. It was developed specifically as a value-add to the support already offered in the program, with the interests of the startups front and center. As such, we have a fund with no end-date, meaning we have the possibility to be long-term owners, and aim to continue being a shareholder in our portfolio companies long after they have left the Incubate program, while also being able to offer follow-on investments. We call it patient capital. We’ve also chosen the investors in the fund with care, opting for investors who are looking to co-invest with us directly in our portfolio companies in future rounds, opening up an excellent angel and VC network for our portfolio. To complement MSU’s land grant mission, the MSU Research Foundation formed and supported the first Mid-Michigan Venture investment organization, Red Cedar Ventures. Our team supports 4 funds. Our funds have significant partnerships and collaborations to assist in its vision. Its close relationships with Michigan State University Technologies and Spartan Innovations provides a robust pipeline of early-stage technologies for cultivation and assessment. Red Cedar Ventures also partners with Spartan Innovations in the facilitation of Conquer Accelerator program. When possible, working with Spartan Innovations, Red Cedar Ventures assists in bridging Industry and Statewide Commercial entities in innovations and partnerships around startups with the vast and talented resources surrounding Michigan State University. The Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation empowers students to learn through action by providing programs, courses, and resources to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, develop empathy, and create new ventures – another pipeline created for student startups in search of funding and support. As a member of the Michigan Venture Capital Association, our team works in concert to support startups in Michigan in coordination with Invest Detroit, Invest Michigan, Renaissance Ventures, and other ecosystem partners looking to impact Michigan's economy. Red Cedar Ventures portfolio companies and startups, throughout campus and the Mid-Michigan region, can rent office space at The East Lansing Technology Innovation Center or VanCamp, and access essential resources made available by the MSU Foundation. Our team provides many resources to help launch entrepreneurial ventures including funding, mentorship and coaching, board participation, commercial/market assessment, startup advising, business documentation and support services, partnership opportunities related to MSU, and consulting on overall strategy and execution.
