Anicut Capital is an India-based alternative investment firm founded in September 2015. It deploys both debt and equity capital across four strategies: private credit, seed funding, growth equity and late-stage equity. The firm's name draws on the Grand Anicut (Kallanai) in Tamil Nadu, the ancient dam built across the Kaveri River to support local agriculture. Anicut Capital works with businesses at differing stages of growth, and its multi-asset structure means investment activity is spread across credit and equity mandates rather than concentrated in a single strategy.
