The Opportunity
As Senior Venture Partner / Partner, you will play a central role in shaping AMED Ventures' investment strategy, strengthening the firm's international presence, and leading its Taiwan-based investment team (AOs).
The ideal candidate combines a proven MedTech investment track record with exceptional deal-sourcing capabilities, institutional fundraising experience, strong global relationships, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Leadership: Identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate, and execute venture capital and growth investments in MedTech and healthcare innovation.
Global Deal Sourcing: Build proprietary investment opportunities through relationships with founders, physicians, universities, venture firms, strategic investors, and healthcare industry leaders.
Fundraising & Investor Relations: Develop relationships with institutional investors, family offices, corporate investors, and other global capital partners.
Portfolio Management: Support portfolio companies through strategic partnerships, commercialization, financing, leadership recruitment, and exit planning.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop AMED's Taipei-based investment professionals while establishing strong investment discipline and execution standards.
Global Partnerships: Connect international MedTech innovation with Taiwan's technology and advanced manufacturing ecosystem.
Platform Development: Strengthen investment processes, investment committee governance, portfolio oversight, and the firm's long-term institutional capabilities.
Candidate Qualifications
Required
10+ years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, healthcare investing, or closely related investment leadership roles.
Demonstrated investment experience in MedTech, medical devices, diagnostics, surgical technologies, robotics, cardiovascular technologies, AI-enabled healthcare, or related sectors.
Proven record of personally sourcing and leading investments, with demonstrable investment outcomes.
Strong proprietary deal-sourcing capabilities and relationships across the international MedTech ecosystem.
Demonstrated institutional fundraising experience and established investor relationships.
Proven leadership capabilities, sound investment judgment, and strong communication skills.
Professional fluency in English.
Willingness to relocate to and work primarily from Taipei, Taiwan.
Preferred
Current or former Partner, Managing Director, General Partner, or senior Principal at a leading venture capital or healthcare investment firm.
Strong professional networks across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Experience bridging international healthcare innovation with Asian technology and manufacturing ecosystems.
Experience building investment teams, processes, or platforms.
Mandarin proficiency is advantageous but not required.
Compensation
Competitive executive compensation, including base salary, performance-based bonus, and meaningful carry.
