AlleyCorp is hiring an Associate to join our Healthcare investing team, based in New York City. In this role, you'll work directly alongside our healthcare investors across every stage of the investment process, from sourcing and evaluating new opportunities to supporting investments and growing great companies.
A major focus of the role will be identifying exceptional healthcare founders and developing conviction around those opportunities. You'll spend significant time in the market — meeting founders, clinicians, operators, and other healthcare leaders – to develop relationships and spot emerging trends across the industry. We’re particularly interested in candidates who have a unique point of view of where healthcare is headed, specifically how AI and technology can increase the healthcare system’s capacity and capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Own top-of-funnel deal sourcing: proactively identifying deals through founder networks, clinical and health-tech communities, events, research, and your own instincts about where the market is moving.
- Develop and articulate healthcare theses — across care delivery, payer/provider infrastructure, clinical AI, and biotech-adjacent software — and pressure-test them against what you're actually seeing throughout the industry.
- Go deep on emerging healthcare sectors, developing genuine subject matter expertise across the payer, provider, pharma, and digital health landscape.
- Build and maintain relationships across the NYC startup and healthcare ecosystem with founders, clinicians, operators, and other investors.
- Work closely with AlleyCorp’s portfolio companies to help accelerate growth and impact.
- Develop ideas to pursue as new AlleyCorp incubations, exploring opportunities to build entirely new companies from the ground up.

- 5+ years in healthcare startups, venture, clinical settings, or an environment where you were continually prospecting for new opportunities.
