AID Partners Capital

Hong Kong-based private equity and venture capital firm within AID Group, investing US$445m across growth-stage technology, lifestyle, finance and health-tech companies, with cross-border M&A and operating support.

AID Partners Capital is a Hong Kong-headquartered private equity and venture capital business within AID Group. Founded in 2007, the firm describes itself as a strategic investment firm and operating group focused on growth-stage investment and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Its name is an acronym for the founding approach of Advisory, Investment & Development - a combination that also frames how it works with portfolio companies, pairing capital with hands-on advisory and development support.

The firm's flagship private-equity funds have deployed US$445 million, investing across growth-stage companies in technology, lifestyle, finance and health-tech. Three funds are managed, alongside the stated management of two public companies. Investment activity spans Hong Kong, Greater China, the United States, Israel, Japan and Korea, with cross-border M&A executed as a distinct capability rather than an adjunct to it.

Portfolio exposure includes entertainment and media assets - among them Legendary Pictures, Orange Sky Golden Harvest Entertainment, HMV Digital China and Prime Focus World-Double Negative - alongside the technology and health-tech focus of the funds. The operating-group model means roles at the firm combine investment appraisal with post-investment involvement in the businesses it backs, a structure suited to candidates comfortable working across borders and across the growth-stage spectrum, from seed-adjacent opportunities through to later-stage transactions.
