About AI Station
Founded in 2025, AI Station runs four lines of business: an AI Academy for engineers and teams, Corporate Innovation programs that help organizations run accelerators and bootcamps, a Studio building new startups, and AIS Ventures, our early-stage investment arm.
We've delivered intensive AI and fintech training programs for major banks and government institutions, partnered with international development agencies, and we're currently running accelerator programs for leading financial institutions while shaping national-level training initiatives with regulators.
The role
As Managing Director, you'll own two things:
- Growth: building relationships with corporates, banks, and institutions looking to bring AI and innovation into their organization, and turning those relationships into signed partnerships.
- Delivery: leading a team across Programs, Ventures, Operations, and Marketing to make sure every program lives up to what was promised, so partners come back and refer others.
You'll also own the operating budget and work closely with the co-founder on strategy and funding.
Success here means signed partnerships that turn into repeat business and a team that consistently delivers on its promises.
What we're looking for
- You've led commercial growth and built trusted relationships with senior executives in corporations, financial institutions, or government.
- You have real people-management experience: you can set direction for a team, hold it accountable, and know what it can realistically deliver before you sell it.
- You have a visionary streak and are comfortable balancing hands-on execution with strategic thinking. You're excited to learn the co-founder's strategic process and grow into shaping culture, setting vision, and eventually leading strategy independently.
- You're comfortable operating across Uzbekistan's corporate, banking, and government landscape.
- Experience in consulting, venture capital, or the startup and innovation ecosystem is a strong plus.
- Professional fluency in English, Russian, and Uzbek.
