Director of Venture Building — Labour Mobility
Africa Jobs Fund · Remote — Africa preferred · Full-time
The Africa Jobs Fund is a philanthropic venture builder catalysing high-impact companies that boost incomes for people in Africa, focused on export manufacturing and international labour mobility. Housed at Renaissance Philanthropy.
This senior role owns the international labour mobility pillar: building companies that move African workers into life-changing jobs abroad. You will build companies yourself and shape corridor/market strategy with the co-founders. This is not a traditional investment seat — you must be proactive in company building.
You will spend time on
- Building companies end to end: opportunity spotting, founder sourcing, company building, structuring investments, and hands-on support
- Corridor and market scoping across recruiters, employers, and operators
- Team building and management of venture-builders on labour mobility
- Investment assessment and structuring (including CEAs and deal structures)
