We are a venture capital fund manager that invests in early-stage deep-tech and deep-tech enabler ventures.
Our investment philosophy is to identify early-stage ventures and back technical founders with visions and abilities to transform a market or an industry. Our target entrepreneurs develop breakthrough products and technologies establishing new market footholds or pursue novel business models.
Our Support
We follow a purpose-driven approach to generate public value, along with financial returns for our investors, by investing in and offering guidance to talented technical founders with bold problem solutions.
Investment. We invest at the Seed stage—and preferably lead that round—by taking an active role in determining the valuation, executing the due diligence, finalizing the agreements' terms, and identifying co-investors. We target significant minority shares. Later, we go on to taking part in the Series A and B rounds.
Strategy and management mentorship. Our post-Seed investment guidance rests on three pillars. First, we make available our individual and collective experiences. Second, our pool of advisors is a source of valuable strategy and managerial expertise. Finally, the founders of our portfolio companies can provide first-hand peer information, having faced various challenges as entrepreneurs themselves.
- Fit and Pivot: At Seed stage, key challenges are resolving problem-solution fit and product-market fit. We encourage iterating and pivoting until the right product-market fit is achieved.
- Catalyzing Networking: Business partnerships take years to develop. We facilitate the networking process and leverage our own extensive industry relationships.
- Early Customers: We dedicate significant amount of partners' time and utilize our C-level network to secure customers for our portfolio companies.
- Next Investment Round: Next-round planning starts on Day One. Our network of Series-A investors enables our portfolio companies to access and pitch to relevant potential investment partners.
Our Criteria Set
Our initial investments typically start at Seed rounds with ticket sizes of up to EUR 1mn. We primarily invest in Europe, employing the following criteria:
Problem - Solution Fit: We seek technologically-innovative start-ups that target tangible challenges and offer solutions superior to the existing alternatives.
Product-Market Fit: We assess customer demand, market depth, and competitive landscape to gain insight into the viability of a start-up's go-to-market potential.
Team Fit: We look for technical founders with entrepreneurial skills and the ability to attract and inspire a complementary, high-calibre team.
Investment Thesis Fit: We ensure that a start-up's stage, financial model, risks, cap-table, exit strategy, and all other factors are in place to generate significant return for our investors.
