Acadian Ventures

Early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2019, investing up to $2m at pre-seed through Series A in work technology across infrastructure, intelligence, automation, experience and compliance.

Acadian Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2019 that invests exclusively in technologies reshaping work and supporting people at scale. The firm backs founders building what it describes as the new architecture of work, spanning pre-seed, seed and Series A rounds, with cheques of up to $2 million. It may lead, co-lead or follow a given round, and reserves capital to support top-performing portfolio companies in subsequent financings.

The investment thesis is organised around five areas: infrastructure, intelligence, automation, employee experience, and compliance. Within that frame, the firm's technical domains cover artificial intelligence and responsible AI, workforce infrastructure and management, employee experience platforms, talent and compensation technology, global benefits, compliance technology, and skills development and reskilling. The portfolio is global in scope and comprises more than 50 companies, which have collectively created over 3,000 jobs.

Beyond capital, the firm contributes work-technology expertise, operating experience and a network of industry leaders to its portfolio companies. It evaluates the impact of its investments along a set of defined measures: access to opportunity, economic mobility, equity and inclusion, training and reskilling, wellness, and responsible AI.
