AAIC Investment

AAIC Investment is the fund management arm of AAIC Holdings, established in 2013 and registered in Singapore, with operating presence in Japan and across Africa. The firm provides growth capital to fast-growing companies in Africa and surrounding markets, with a sector concentration in healthcare and technology-enabled social infrastructure. Corporate venture support activities date from 2014.

The firm runs two funds. The Africa Healthcare Fund, established in 2017, is described by the company as Japan's first fund specialising in investment in Africa's healthcare sector, targeting medical and healthcare businesses across African countries. The Africa Innovation & Healthcare Fund extends coverage to technology companies in healthcare, finance, insurance and logistics - sectors the firm frames as social infrastructure.

Investment stage is growth capital, with financing accompanied by hands-on support intended to help portfolio companies improve performance and expand. A distinguishing element of the model is the connection of Japanese business capabilities, networks and investment with the requirements of fast-growing African companies, drawing on local presence and operating experience in both markets.
