When we invest

Pre-Seed

We target experienced entrepreneurs with a clear vision and a strong willingness to succeed. The founding team is usually not completed at this stage. Pre-revenue.

Seed

At this stage, target companies have already released their first software product and generated early revenues. Implementation of KPI tracking is crucial for our investment assessment.

Series A

Usually, founder teams are already completed at this stage and revenue growth is continuous and above average. Still we love to engage with the founders and be their sparring partners in strategic and daily challenges.

henQ is a Seed and Series A venture capital fund. We invest across Europe in B2B startups with a software component, writing tickets of EUR 2-5M. Companies we invest in range from having their first embryonic product and a few pilot customers, to having EUR 2-3M in annual recurring revenue being ready to properly scale. Our assets under management are approximately EUR 200M. Our latest fund - raised in 2020 - is EUR 80M in size. The returns of all our funds are among the best in the market. Famous brand name funds like Sequoia are reaping the benefits of what they did in the past and defending their existing great position. Founded in 2018 and based in Atlanta, GA, Knoll Ventures invests in Pre-Series A tech enabled B2B companies. In Spring 2022, we closed our second fund to support founders at the earliest stages of the growth process where we help drive value creation and increase the odds of success.
