1435 Name Origin

1435 millimeters is the width of a standard gauge railroad track and 1435 Capital is located near the Princeton Junction train station. Trains, commerce, and capital move on rails. 1435 is referencing the fact that commerce and thereby capital moves efficiently and quickly through railroads, hence the origin of our name.

Our Focus

We focus on growth stage startups, largely those seeking funding from Seed through Series C. We are industry agnostic and generally focus on companies with teams with a strong track record, a clear path to revenue, and proprietary technology or a “moat”. We are also looking to invest in private late-stage Pre-IPO secondaries.
