About Protégé Ventures
Protégé Ventures is Southeast Asia's first and Singapore's only student-run venture capital fund. Founded in 2017, we invest in early-stage student founders and recent graduates raising their pre-seed to seed rounds — but unlike a traditional fund, every investment decision runs through students.
That's the core of what we do: we give students the actual mandate of a VC. Our analysts source deals, run due diligence, build investment memos, and pitch to our Investment Committee — and the capital and outcomes are real. To date, we've backed 13+ companies that have gone on to raise over SGD 35M collectively, with alumni now working across 50+ VCs and startups including Wavemaker, Temasek, and Antler.
We exist to train the next generation of venture capitalists by giving them the seat, not just the syllabus.
We are looking to recruit our next batch of student investment analysts. Shortlisted applicants will go through two bootcamps covering VC fundamentals — from due diligence to investment memo writing — before progressing to officially joining us as an analyst.
What You'll Do as a Student Investment Analyst
This is a hands-on, end-to-end venture capital programme — not an observership. As an analyst, you can expect to:
Build your VC foundations through two bootcamps covering VC fundamentals, sector deep-dives, due diligence, and investment memo writing Source and evaluate real deals, owning founder communications and deal evaluation during our Venture Sessions Learn from active VCs, through masterclasses from experienced professionals in the ecosystem Establish your network through participating in ecosystem events to connect with founders and VCs across the venture landscape
Please note: This is a student leadership and learning opportunity, not a paid internship. What it does offer is real capital deployment, real founder relationships, and real investment decisions — the kind of exposure that's difficult to find anywhere else at the student stage.
